Harold Evans papers, 1940-1983.

This collection's subject is the One-Shot Antelope Hunt Club's annual hunt and Evans' contributions to its continual success. The hunt became a yearly outing for national politicians and some Hollywood screen stars of the 1940s to the 1960s. The collection contains correspondence, photographs, news clippings, One-Shot memorabilia, and a newsprint copied scrapbook documenting with pictures and other news stories One-Shot hunts from 1940 to 1983.

Harold Evans (1896-1983) was a co-founder in 1940 of One-Shot Antelope Hunt Club in Lander, Wyoming. He was born in Iowa and moved to Lander in 1925. He was a strong civic booster, belonging to several clubs and organizations in Lander, Wyoming.
